Arsenal - Starting with something which is extremely close to my heart...Arsenal Football Club. The year of 2012 is not been great for this iconic club and for Arsene Wenger but it should be better 2013....we need some desperate squad depth...in a Center forward, a box type Midfield maestro...maynot be a Defensive midfielder but somebody who will boss the midfield with some physical stature and hold the link up play from back to front.....and some cover at the back maybe a backup Central Defender and a backup Golkeeper.

And of course Wenger has lost some of his midas touch in finding some world class bargains (read: talents) or it may be the case of lot of the other clubs being also on the lookout and have as extensive scouting network....of some stature equivalent to arsenal's....But their is no denying the fact we need some reinforcements and 2013 should take care of itself.....with some surprises and a trophy in our cabinet finally......All the way for Arsenal!

Hey guys, i am back after a long hiatus...really missed my blog for sometime ...lot to talk .....but i'm back that is important....in the midst of a lot of consumer activism across the globe and especially in India. ....and yes desperately...want 2012 to get over....less than hour to 2013....hoping 2013 is better than 2012...more tolerant, peaceful, people understand each other better , and much more which are for better.....

Diaby has been poor

arsenal have lost the momentum...clearly...from being title contenders..they are loosing games left right and center....it is absolutley clear that we need to change Fabianski our second choice golkeeper...he is going to cost us big time....he is a kid and just do not have any presence...football is a contact sport and if you cannot be physical and do not make your presence felt then as well do not play...it is such simple...really. being such a die hard arsenal fan and that from cricket crazy India it is doubly painfull watching arsenal since our barcelona defeat....please buy some new players...arsene.....

Shocking tackle by Ryan Shawcross...this has to be weeded out from ...football. The guy's leg is in two pieces. Football needs to be played in a fair manner and this is the 3rd arsenal horror injury in the last 4 years. Judging by what blackburn dished out at lverpool the english FA needs to act tough and firm and quick too. let this be made a precedent and the player be banned for a couple of years with some heavy penalty to the football club.

May god bless aaron ramsey with a speedy recovery. actually i doubt he will come back the same promising kid that he was when arsenal invested in him.

US expats not welcome in india - series 2.

Continuing with the theme that i started with yesterday...u must be wondering ...why the hell am i taking this too far...

It has come to notice that certain individuals who by their own choice had to come to india to ensure progress in their respective professions cannot fathom the fact that this country is making great strides....and that they cannot digest this progress. these US goras have the audacity to then go aroung the place and picture anything that is out of sync or place and fail to understand our natural mix or diversity which is only unique to this country. we have so many diverse languages and systems in place which makes you feel that you are altogether in a separate country if you travel from one state (province) to the other. but people are always or generally cordial and receptive to one other and unlike these Goras carry absolutley pathetic egos....it is shambolic that these goras in our country have so many of us to help them and they look down on all of them. If you cannot adjust or go through our systems...why don't you get out of here and relieve us also of this pain that you are....
We do not want to see any westerner who makes fun of our rituals, customs, cultures anywhere in India and we are better off without your business also.

US expats in India have to behave themselves or they should go back

The topic is very interseting and my moot point being we as a country have grown leaps and bound....just to set the tone we were a nation with a teledensity of some 6 phone per 100 a decade or less back and now we are close to 50 per 100 that roughly translates to 500 million mobile subscribers with average 12 to 14 million subscriber additions per month. This has lead to the telecom regulator to even think of finding alternatives from the exisiting 9 digit phone numbering system starting with 9 or 8 as we as a nation are fast approaching to the reality of exhausting unique cell phone numbers within the next 3 years.

Now the IRONY -

This kind of growth has also brought about quite a bit of international jealousy as i may think or say so. The modern day world which is fast paced and shrinking like anything has brought about a vast majority of International expatriates (I am only referring to Westerners expecially people from the USA) into india. The sad part based on my experience is that they just cannot learn to adjust. But the fact of the matter is that these so called expatriates are in india for nothing but pure business and for the fact that world indeed has moved EAST from WEST. If these so called expatriates have to make a good career they have to be in this part of the world especially India and China. But the expats seem to be culturally disoriented. It is a basic etiquette to respect the local culture wherever or whetever it is and mutually learn to cohabitate. i have never seen so much of american jealously even in britishers who come to India (at least they have some premise to feel in their minds some kind of superiority having almost successfully ruled us for well over 3 centuries. I feel these US workers who have come here to work to be a bunch of morons who really think low about us and show lack of respect. My question these guys is - why do you compromise your so called ego, morally high identity and work in India? we are a nation of billion plus people who is in a midst of positive transition, where we find some 200 million poor people finding hope to be part of a progressive middle class revolution and adding more to the already burgeoning 400 million middle class.
I think it is high time that we tell these so caalled westerners that you are not welcome and please mond your business and stay in your wonderland. I also will like to comment upon some of our Indian brothers and sisters who feel so privileged to serve that extra mile to them. it is not that nobody is unwelcome to india but anybody coming here need to know just one thing that they better respect our culture, nation or they can simply leave.
Atithi devo bhava doea not mean that any guest can do whatever he or she feels like and get scot free.

arsene wenger (AW) - the professor

Arsene Wenger - AW the great great coach of arsenal knows the following languages...speaks both French and German, very good English, some Spanish, a little Italian and, of course, Japanese.AW has had a small playing career with FC Strasburg in the french ligue1.

This is the state of our roads in Mumbai. We call this the biggest city in India and one of the biggest in the world. We want to replicate and convert it the same way Shanghai is today. For all this to happen the goverment needs to initiate actionable projects with definetive deadlines. What is the point in having a project innaugurated by a big personality or being named after some ex-prime minister if it is going to consistently encounter cost/project overruns and never reach/meet it's original/desired deadlines and completed much later than what it should have been? Mind you Mumbai is one of the rare cities in India where we do see infrastructure projects being completed and implemented but it is all reactive still. We need not talk of the other big cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore in paricular if this is the situation in Mumbai after a heavy downpour. Talking about our Hyderabad, it does not rain that heavy but even a small/sporadic rain causes massive blockages and inundations to homes. The city of hyderabad just begs for modern day drainage system. To get them you need not divert funds from rural places to the cities; it needs basic commensense and the will and desire to do something good.

Mohanlal is to join territorial army.

It is such a pleasure that one of our acting legends Mohanlal (the malayalam movie superstar) is set to join the Territorial Army as a Lt. Colonel. He is to be officially inducted into the services by none other than our Army chief Major General Deepak Kapoor. It is a great moment and sense of pride for all malayalees world over and great initiative by lalletan (Mohanlal is fondly called as lalletan). It ia also a good coincidence that his latest movie Brhamaram,has provided him with a very different role which is quite a challenging one in his career.

Really Mr. Mohanlal you are truly an inspiration and an icon. Long live.
